1) Breeder
agrees to supply the following documents: Current Veterinarian Health
Certificate, copies of parents Pedigrees, an AKC Application for Full
Registration unless dog/pup is purchased strictly as a pet, Copy of results of
an examination by a Cornell University Canine Ophthalmologist (Pups are examined for CEA
- Collie Eye Anomaly and PRA - Progressive Retinal Atrophy), signed
copies of both the Breeder Guarantee, the Deposit & Sales Contract, and a
record of all shots and de-worming.
2) Buyer agrees to have said pup/dog
examined by a Licensed Veterinarian; at buyer’s expense within 72 hours of
receipt, Seller guarantees the Pup/Dog to
be healthy at the time of purchase for 72
hours. If it is found that there is a serious health question, Buyer has 48
hours after the veterinary exam in which to ask for a Pup/Dog replacement in
writing or return the dog/pup to the breeder and receive a refund of purchase
price. This request must be accompanied by a letter from the veterinarian
stating why the Pup/dog’s health is in question. Seller retains the right
to have their veterinarian review and express an opinion regarding this
letter. If a replacement is requested, seller is not obligated to replace
the exact color. Seller will replace the Pup/dog as soon as a suitable
replacement is available. Seller is not responsible for any veterinary
fees. Buyer agrees to pay return shipping. In
the unlikely event that a serious contagious disease is detected, breeder is to
be notified immediately. Buyer may return said pup to breeder, at buyers
expense, with registration papers & letter from Licensed Veterinarian, for
a refund of the pet cost, minus shipping.
3) Buyer
agrees to a $250 deposit to reserve said pup/dog and that the deposit is
Non-Refundable, unless something should happen to said pup/dog while in
breeders care.
4) If
shipping is needed, we only charge what the actual shipping cost. Shipping can
be paid C.O.D.
5) All
balances are due by the time the pup reaches 8 weeks of age. Balances must be
paid via Cash or U.S. Postal Money Order and must be received prior to shipment
- No Exceptions!
6) We have
bred; to the best of our ability, a quality representation of the Rough Collie.
There is no guarantee that any pup/dog sold is of show quality, will retain any
specific size/weight, or is capable of breeding or whelping a litter at
maturity.
7) Under
no circumstances is this pup/dog to be surrendered to an animal shelter or
rescue organization. If at any time you are unable to keep your dog, we agree
to provide a forever home, (return shipping is at owners expense), or to assist
in the placement of the dog.
8) Breeder
assumes no responsibility for veterinary, or any other expenses incurred once
said pup/dog leaves breeder’s premises.
9) All
pups sold with an AKC Full Registration; for breeding/show, will carry the
Breeders name prior to chosen name! Ex: Signature Rough Collie. All
pups, limited or full registration, must be registered within two months of receipt
by the buyer.
10) All
pups sold with a Limited Registration, will be Spayed/Neutered by 6 months of
age. AKC Registration papers will be provided upon written proof of
spay/neuter, from a Licensed Veterinarian.
