In the 18th Century, the Collie's natural home was in the highlands of Scotland, deep in the hills and mountains, where he had been used for centuries as a sheepdog. The dogs were bred with great care in order to assist their masters in the herding and guarding of their flocks. These people were totally dependent on their pastoral pursuits, so the dogs were bred for strength, endurance, intelligence, devotion and loyalty. History - In 2006, we had the fortune to meet the world wide highly respected Collie breeder of 40+ years, 2002 Breeder of the Year, Breeder of over 70 Champions and AKC Judge, Judie Evans of Clarion Collies. Being the very gracious and generous lady that she is, Judie took us under her wing and became a mentor extraordinaire to us. From evaluating puppy litters, to the study of pedigrees, establishing classic type through linebreeding to health care to AI technique, she has expressed nothing but generosity in sharing her seemingly un-ending wisdom relating to the Collie Dog. We continue to be eternally grateful to Judie for sharing with us.

Tri Headed White Dog Puppy dob 11/22/10
It's been a while so I thought you might enjoy a few photos. The photos are already over a month or 2 old. I named him Wesley, it's the name he liked.. between that and 'Rocky' Shore, which I like too.
My camera broke about a month ago, so no recent photos. I just have to go get another camera soon... cuz man o man is he getting big and is solid like a rock. In fact he looks like a Mac Truck. :) ... and you are right, he is so, so sweet! .. and so, so strong. He loves people and other dogs too. And amazing personality I must say... in very good health. I will have to watch his weight though since he's crazy about food. In fact I never met a dog that likes food so much. His teeth came in beautiful too.
Sunny gets along fine since he's the boss, they play and play... Wesley wants his food, my food and Sunnys food, Sunny doesn't mind sharing since he's never been a food nut (except for treats of course). Right now they are up playing tug of war and running through the house as usual.
Wesley was house trained in 2 weeks, and has great house manners and is even picky on where he pees. :)
